    Just out from one of the four shelters and waiting for the line crew to clear the aircraft. The wings are just unfolding. On the F-4C this was controlled from the cockpit like on the USN versions, but on the F-4E it was a manual operation.

On the C model, the wing fold switch is in the left MLG well. After the wings are in position for flight, the crew chief had to lock the wings via a screw jack just inboard of the wing fold, and the annuciator light would go out in the cockpit
